Mint Hill, NC
This 50's inspired styled shoot of my DREAMS was organized by the talented Elizabeth Knapp of Elizabeth A. Images. She contacted me with the idea of a 50's housewife styled shoot full of yellows and blues that remind you of summers drinking lemonade on the front porch. Without having to think about it I was instantly in! Kayla Almon was my lovely model and close friend of Elizabeth. I arrived to the styled shoot and saw Kayla's dress and accessories and immediately thought of Ally from the notebook. That is where I drew my inspiration for her hair and makeup; soft brushed out curls, pin curls, matte eye with a winged liner and red lip for added formality. While I was getting Kayla ready Elizabeth worked on setting up the table scape with a gorgeous tea set from England and the most delicious looking cake from Baked well NC. I decided to stay during the shoot to help change out accessories and touch up her hair in between takes. I'm so glad I did because we had such a fun time. On top of learning that I'm a huge weirdo for not liking seltzer water I learned so much from watching Elizabeth shoot. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did helping to create them. As always the complete vendor list is down below!
